In 2020, Fleur was one of the founding members of the UAE–Israel Business Council, established following the historic Abraham Accords Peace Treaty between Israel, the UAE, and Bahrain. That October, after leading a delegation to the Gulf states to deepen regional cooperation, she launched the inaugural meeting of the Gulf-Israel Women’s Forum—a pioneering network of women leaders under the Business Council’s umbrella.
It was during these encounters that Fleur noticed something that would later ignite the idea for Campus Israel. Many of the Gulf state leaders she met proudly spoke of sending their children to universities in Europe and the United States. Fleur found herself thinking, “Why not Israeli universities? They, too, are world-renowned for academic excellence, innovation, and producing Nobel laureates and tech entrepreneurs.”
That question lingered—until October 7th, 2023. The world changed. The Jewish people changed. And Israel changed. What had once been a spark of an idea became a calling: to reimagine higher education in Israel as a launchpad for purpose, belonging, and world-changing innovation.

Just before COVID hit, Lisa completed a ten-year journey as Founder and CEO of Jerusalem Village, a community-based experience model that helped young Israelis and newcomers build meaningful lives together. Its Shalom al-Lechem home-hosted Shabbat dinners, featuring chef-inspired menus rooted in family heritage and a traveling kosher kitchen, sparked Lisa’s daring vision for creating global models of connection and belonging.
From 2020 to 2022, she earned a Master’s in Israel Education at George Washington University, specializing in experience design and merging her tech-sector strategy and marketing background with her passion for purpose-driven community building.
Then came October 7th. In its aftermath, over coffee and conversation with Fleur, Campus Israel was born. A new way to do college. Purposeful. Rooted in Israel. Designed to prepare young adults with the knowledge, critical thinking, and networks essential for the AI age, and to build a deep connection to Israel like never before.
